The reclamation and resort construction project in Malé, Maldives, involved reclaiming five islands to develop a new resort. This process began with a careful evaluation of the environmental impact, aiming to balance development with ecological preservation. Local talent was prioritized, creating an incubative process to train and employ Maldivians in various skilled trades. Experts in dredging, marine engineering, and architecture collaborated on the project, ensuring high-quality and sustainable construction. Following land reclamation, resort construction commenced, facing challenges and adaptations, notably due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The eventual result showcased a blend of expert collaboration and a strong commitment to local involvement.
